Default How to estimate memory requirements for deployment through /resin-admin

Hi,

Has any one made an estimation of how much memory does resin 4.0.27 pro cluster requires to hot-deploy a new version of a webapp?

I am looking on something based either on number of classes + jsps or size of war and how much memory the server needs to do the hot-deployment. In particular when a previous version is running.

I just had an spike of over 2Gb of memory as monitored on jconsole, that crashed the node where the deployment was being done. And the new version was never deployed on any node. It took two restarts of the node for the cluster to be happy again on the old version.

What is the best practice on doing such hot-releases? We were counting on the multi-versioning functionality of resin to be able to do new releases without lost connectivity, but if the node may crash, maybe this is not such a good idea.

Thanks in advance,

Jose Alberto
