Tom,

I am looking into this.

What's the windows version and JDK version that you use?

If you can create a link from webapps/CWrentHQ to workspace/CWrentHQ/WebContent and add a resin-web-pre.xml to WEB-INF things should work for you.

<web-app xmlns='http://caucho.com/ns/resin'>
<class-loader>

<compiling-loader path='...workspace/CWrentHQ/src/java'/>
<compiling-loader path='WEB-INF/classes'/>
<library-loader path='WEB-INF/lib'/>
</class-loader>
</web-app>

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

enclosed you'll find a little test project which reproduces the problem on my machine. The problem is not spring related. The project is a really simple setup, now.

I am running winxp and win7. The problem exists on either machine. I'm using jdk 1.6.0_23. I also tested with the latest resin 4.0.27. But the problem is still the same.

Hope the project helps.

Here is the stacktrace again:

!ENTRY org.eclipse.jst.server.generic.core 4 0 2012-05-02 21:34:28.718

I also found another stacktrace in the log. It's a NPE when unplushing:

Please let me know if you can reproduce the problem.

Tom

Thanks. This helps.

Looks like the jar file is cached until next gc cycle. I am looking into what's holding the file open.

I had to try a few differnet Windows env. to replicate that. In my Win 7 on VMWare the problem does not occur. (jdk 1.6.0_31)

Hi Alex,

I've seen that you fixed the problem in 4.0.28. Is the release date already set?

Thx.
Tom

We were discussing this today internally. It looks like it's going to be an extra 3 weeks for this one. So the target date is June 1.

Thanks,
alex
