Hi,

Coming back after some months, I would love to try again, but could not really find a simple help on how to use Quercus on gae.
Google don't talk about it, of course... and any wiki here seems to be a little outdated.

I have no trouble with Apache, PHP but know about nothing on Java...
Any of you knows where to find a "beginner" guide on how to setup a very simple site?

Thanks in advance!

Quercus is just a Java servlet, so if you might find generic tutorials by searching for "java GAE servlet".

The name of the Quercus servlet is: GoogleQuercusServlet

You will need to specify that servlet in your WEB-INF/web.xml. And set <servlet-mapping>php</servlet-mapping> so that Quercus will interpret your php files.

Thanks nam, but I already went a little bit further than this....

In fact, last time I followed Run PHP on the Google App Engine (http://www.webdigi.co.uk/blog/2009/run-php-on-the-google-app-engine/) and it went fine.
But that was without really understanding, and quercus changed since then!

Since then, we've added official support for GAE. You don't need to hack up Quercus to make it run on GAE anymore :).

I am not going to thank you twice for a non answer!

My question was - and still is - where to start? Is there some tutorial somewhere? a micro sample?
No need to give support if no one can do!

Anyone else?
Thanks for them!
