View Full Version : Help needed quercus + tomcat + wordpress

Hi guys,

I'm new to quercus so I'm kinda stuck with charsets and need some help plz. I've installed tomcat + quercus + wordpress and everything is working fine in the original wordpress language (english), but I need to have the blog working in spanish which obviusly implies accented characters.

The working configuration stores ?? in the DB(mysql) instead of accented characters. So far I've tried this solutions:

Set DB charset to latin1
Set charset to iso-8859-1 in header.php, so it would be used in all blog pages
Set script-encoding to iso-8859-1 in web.xml
Set char set to iso-8859-1 in php.ini
Also set this options in php.ini ;unicode.output_encoding = "ISO-8859-1"
unicode.runtime_encoding = "ISO-8859-1"

I've also tried the all of the previous options but setting all values to UTF-8

But I keep getting the same results (?? symbols on the DB and the blog output)

Am I missing something?, what am I doing wrong??

Appreciate your help

P.S the blog is currently working on http://www.minuevodepa.com/blog
