Centos 5.4
Resin-pro-3.0.27
Sun jsdk1.4.2_19

here's what set:
JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_19/bin/java
PATH=/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/root/bin:/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_19/bin

when I ./configure resin, I get:

checking dynamic linker characteristics... GNU/Linux ld.so
checking if libtool supports shared libraries... yes
checking whether to build shared libraries... yes
checking whether to build static libraries... yes
checking whether -lc should be explicitly linked in... no
creating libtool
checking for JAVA_HOME... /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_19/bin/java
configure: error: Can't find valid JAVA_HOME /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_19/bin/java

any ideas why there error?

thanks in advance

JAVA_HOME needs to be set to the top-level Java directory, not the java executable. Looks like /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_19 in your case.

FYI, Resin 3.0.27 is at end-of-life, as is Java 1.4.

Best,
