Hi,

Is it possible to run PHP scripts from command line or directly from a Java instance without requiring a web server?

I've been reading the documentation and indicates the deployment to a web server but this is something that we really don't and would like to avoid.

Thank you in advance.

:)

I have this command line alias set up on my Ubuntu box. You should be able to adjust it for your needs:

alias quercus-php='java -cp /home/domdorn/work/caucho/resin/lib/resin-kernel.jar:/home/domdorn/work/caucho/resin/lib/quercus.jar:/home/domdorn/work/caucho/resin/lib/resin.jar:/home/domdorn/work/caucho/resin/lib/mysql-connector-java-3.1.14-bin.jar com.caucho.quercus.CliQuercus '

quercus-php test.php

hope that helps.
