Hi all!
I'm trying to set up rollovers, but I have a problem: when I use rollovers - old file don't deleted its only archiving. The part of config:

<resin xmlns="http://caucho.com/ns/resin"
<stdout-log path="f:\search\resin\log\jvm-${server.id}.log"
<cluster id="shards">
<!-- logging -->
<log path="stdout:" timestamp="[%H:%M:%S.%s] " >
<logger name="" level="all"/>

For example, I have a file "f:\search\resin\log\jvm-${server.id}.log". It has 195KB. It normally bacups and compressed to "f:\search\resin\log\arch\jvm-${server.id}-%Y%m%d-%H%M.log.zip" But Resin don't start a new file, it writes to exsisting, which has 195KB.

Please help. Thanks.

Is the archive being created?

I'm not sure I understand the scenario. The archive is being created but the old access.log isn't properly truncated so it keeps growing?

Yes, archive being created - its ok.
Not access.log, the log file which consists info about server, for example, if the server-id is "shards" Resin creates at "/log" directory "jvm-shards.log" file and this file keep growing, but archive is created ok...

May be I did a mistake or don't finally understand this mechanism...

You raise a good point, though, because the stdout-log looks like it should configure the watchdog's rotation. It's something we might look at changing.
