My test 4.01pro and 4.02pro installs on Centos 5.4 seem to ignore this directive

<user-name>resin</user-name>
<group-name>resin</group-name>

And thats with the if test=root commented out.

As a result the watchdog comes up as user resin but the server as root

This forces me to start it with $USER=resin which I cannot do if I wish to change to port 80 from 8080.

Whats wrong?

I haven't been able to reproduce this, but it's possible that it's a SELinux interaction problem. I've filed it here:

http://bugs.caucho.com/view.php?id=3815

Do you have any logs? Can you also try running with -verbose?

Thanks,
Emil

I dont have any logs but will try to reproduce it locally. The actual server has gone live and I am indeed using $USER to set how resin is run. I will report more as I can.

SElinux is disabled.
