Gurus,

I recently installed resin 3.1.9 pro on windows 2003 64 bit. I installed java 1.6 64 bit and can't get resin to startup.

I receive something like "can't start jview.exe". Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an issue installing resin in a 64 bit environment.

I want to install resin using 64 bit jdk and i am confused how to do.

Do i need to point dll location in any of the configuration file or just when installing it as service i need to give path to 64bit jdk.

Any help appriciated.

Thanks,
Anup

- Resin.exe would normally add win32 and win64 directories to the PATH.
- Setting JAVA_HOME to point to your java install should help with the jview.exe problem (it attempts to use ms vm)

resin can be started using -jar jvm option.

java -jar lib/resin.jar start will start default server.

java -jar lib/resin.jar --help will display usage message.

win32 or win64 directories could be added to the path manually if resin is started using java -jar lib/resin.jar . Without the dlls in the path it will also run but with no resin JNI.
