I've just switched my server install of Resin to work with SSL (Java, not OpenSSL) and everything works brilliantly. When i port the exact same configuration to my laptop which has 80/443 restricted (Windows 7), using 8080 works great. but when i go to 8443 it starts delivering my JSP files as a download instead of compiled HTML in the browser.

I can ignore this because it works on the "PROD" server, but would still like to figure out and test this on my laptop "DEV".

Any insight there would be highly appreciated ... thanks.

Do you know what content type is being sent back to the browser? It should be text/html. Try using a header spy like Live HTTP Headers (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3829) for Firefox and/or using fine logging. I'm not sure why there would be a difference on your laptop versus server. All the MIME types are configured in Resin.
