I have the following in my resin.xml:

<ping resin:type="com.caucho.server.admin.PingMailer">
<url>http://localhost:8080/web-app/test.jsp</url>
<try-count>5</try-count>
<socket-timeout>30s</socket-timeout>
<mail-to>[EMAIL 1]</mail-to>
<mail-from>[EMAIL 2]</mail-from>
<mail-subject>Resin ping has failed for server ${'${'}server.name}</mail-subject>
</ping>

When I start resin I get the following error in the log

'resin:type' is an unknown property of 'com.caucho.server.admin.PingThread'.

What is the correct way to configure the PingMailer? I read about this config in the docs online (http://www.caucho.com/resin-4.0/admin/reference.xtp#Mail%20notification%20when%20ping%20 fails)

I'm running on Resin 4.0.6.

Hi,

Looks like a documentation error. Here's what it should be:

<resin:PingMailer>
<url>http://localhost:8080/web-app/test.jsp</url>
<try-count>5</try-count>
<socket-timeout>30s</socket-timeout>
<mail-to>[EMAIL 1]</mail-to>
<mail-from>[EMAIL 2]</mail-from>
<mail-subject>Resin ping has failed for server ${'${'}server.name}</mail-subject>
</resin:PingMailer>
