Basic question about setting doc root for .war based app deployed in /webapps

Hi folks,

Super simple question - just got a blind spot.

I have a web app (Railo) deployed in ResinRoot/Webapps/Railo.

It works perfect if I go 127.0.0.1/Railo

I now want to upload some sites that are CFM based, and these sites all have their doc roots in the usual place /var/www/hosts/www.site.com

Having not set up virtual hosts etc with .wars before - I'm completely flumoxed how to do this!

How can I get my CF site using the Railo webapp - but on it's own resin.conf configured document root - in the same way that it works for php / Qwercus?

I know this is a super basic question - apologies!

Hi JD,

In your resin.conf (or resin.xml, if you're using Resin 4.0), you just need to set up a <host-deploy> directory:

http://www.caucho.com/resin-4.0/admin/reference.xtp#host-deploy

This is relative to your Resin root, which in the example you showed is "/var/www". So to break up the path:

/var/www/hosts/www.example.com/webapps

/var/www <- Resin root

hosts <- host-deploy directory

www.example.com <- host directory

webapps <- webapp deploy directory for the www.example.com host

Just drop your .wars there.
